蘋果日前通知開發者將會從10月25日開始,於App Store增加更多廣告欄位,讓開發者能有更多宣傳其App內容管道,範圍為除了中國之外的全球App Store。

新增加的廣告欄位將出現在「Today」分頁,以及App詳細說明頁面。其中,在「Today」分頁的內容,將位於蘋果編輯精選內容之間位置;而在App詳細說明頁面出現的廣告欄位,則會以「你可能也喜歡」字樣標注。兩種廣告欄位都會加註藍底白字的「廣告」字樣,讓使用者清楚分辨哪些內容是廣告。

蘋果為了新增「Today」廣告欄目,鋪了哪些路?

此次在「Today」分頁內增加廣告內容,市場分析, 蘋果過去幾年持續累積「Today」分頁瀏覽量,不僅讓「Today」分頁成為進入App Store服務後,第一個看見頁面內容其次,更由蘋果內部編輯人員精選推薦內容,藉此吸引眾人停留觀看,進而成為曝光量極高的頁面 。因此開發者若要透過此頁面推廣App,勢必要投入更多經費才能換取曝光機會。

在此情況下,新增加的廣告欄位顯然將為蘋果帶來更豐厚的廣告營收,至於透過App詳細說明頁面額外推薦的廣告內容,則可能會針對使用者偏好需求,推薦更適合的App推廣內容。

不過蘋果表示,新增加的廣告欄位依然會維持其制訂隱私標準,因此不會向未滿18歲的使用者提供個人化推薦廣告,更不會透過此類使用者隱私資料投放精準廣告內容。

除了在App Store增加更多廣告欄位,日前《彭博》(Bloomberg)也指出,蘋果計畫在Apple Maps地圖服務搜尋結果加入廣告內容,例如向使用者推薦搜尋地點鄰近餐廳、景點或在地店家等資訊,可能比照Google等業者作法,藉由更多廣告內容增加其營收。
